Warbud's first thermomodernisation contract in the PPP (PFI) formula

On March 1, 2017, Warbud signed a contract for thermomodernisation of 5 school buildings in the commune of Wiązowna in Warsaw east suburbs. It is another Warbud's contract to be implemented as a Public-Private Partnership.

Warbud was represented by Mr Jerzy Werle, Chairman and Mr Mirosław Józefczuk, Board Member. The Client was represented by Mr Janusz Budny, Commune Head. Warbud will carry out the building works in a joint-venture with Siemens.

Construction work will be completed within 19 months. After their completion, Siemens will be responsible for 15 years for technical maintenance of the facilities and for energy management.

The project in Wiązowna is the so-called 'hybrid' PFI project in which three sources of finance are to be used: EU funding, public funds and the private partner's capital.

At present Warbud building the seat of the District Court in Nowy Sącz - the first project in Poland implemented as a Public-Private Partnership (PFI) in which a State Treasury unit is acting as the Public Partner. The contract covers designing, financing, construction and then overall management of the facility for the next 20 years.
