Warbud will revitalize the old Norblin factory in Warsaw's Wola district

Warbud will be the main contractor of the ArtN project and will be responsible for the execution of all construction, finishing and landscaping works. Warbud's scope of work also includes the development of a multi-disciplinary executive design for the entire development project and the work of other contractors, i.e.: Soletanche Polska Sp. z o.o., TKT Engineering Sp. z o.o. and Maat4 Sp. z o.o. The Investor and originator is the company Capital Park Group.

ArtN is an innovative mixed-use concept, assuming the revitalization and modernization of the historic area of the Norblin Plating Facility, Buch and T. Werner Brothers, which is located between  Prosta, Łucka and Żelazna Streets in Warsaw. The company responsible for a comprehensive development of the project is design studio PRC Architekci. The target design assumes the revitalization of 9 listed historic buildings and 2 other historic buildings as well as 44 machines and equipment items from the former Norblin factory. The ArtN area will be a public space available 24 hours a day.

'I am very pleased that Capital Park has put confidence in Warbud entrusting us with the execution of such a demanding project. It is an extremely complex and complicated job project both in technical and organizational terms. It includes, among others, rebuilding and revitalization of the historic part of the Norblin Factory and incorporation of the historic part into a new form. For us this is another challenge but also the crowning achievement of many years of work resulting in the gathering of unique experience and knowledge,' said Wojciech Gerber, Member of Warbud SA's Management Board.

Scope of work: Warbud will be responsible for general construction works in the "design and build" formula, with the exception of the diaphragm wall and jet grouting (Soletanche) sanitary works (TKT) and electrical installations (MAAT4). Warbud will also be responsible for obtaining an occupancy permit for the investment.

A total of over 64 000 square meters of usable area will be built on a two-hectare plot, including 40 000 sqm of office space and 24 000 sqm of space for entertainment, service, commercial and cultural facilities. The facility will include among others a modern theatre, a cinema and BioBazar - the first and only certified organic food market in Poland. Another interesting part of the facility will be the Open Museum of the Old Norblin Factory including unique collections of platters as well as restored antique machines.

The buildings in ArtN area will be equipped with a number of ecological solutions - in the design phase they were been pre-certified for BREEAM at the Very Good level.
