On 17 August 2012 the consortium of the companies Warbud (the Leader), Vinci Environnement and Vinci Environnement Polska signed a contract for modernisation and expansion of the Municipal Waste Management Plant in the locality of Gać near Oława. The Contracting Authority is Zakład Gospodarowania Odpadami Sp. z o.o. Gać 90, 55-200 Oława.
The contract covers the construction in the design and build the formula of a methane fermentation module for a biofraction separated from mixed municipal waste with the use of the dry horizontal fermentation technology for the Waste Management Plant. It is worth noting that the methane fermentation technology which will be used in the plant, is considered to be one of the most effective and efficient technologies in the world. The contract will also cover the construction of a tri-generation unit producing electricity, heat and cold.
The contract was signed in the name of the Investor by Mr Jacek Październik, Vice-Chairman of the Plant and in the name of the Investor by Mr Grzegorz Maj, Director of Warbud SA's Environmental Projects Division and Mr Thibaut Bardout, Director of Vinci Environnement SAS.
Net contract value: PLN 44.9 million
Project execution dates: 24 months from contract conclusion.
The project is co-financed by the European Union under the Cohesion Fund under the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment.
