On 16 April 2012 Warbud signed a contract for the conversion of part of Nicolaus Copernicus Regional Specialist Hospital building in Łódź for the purposes of the Regional Oncology Centre.

Warbud will carry out the task acting as a main contractor. The contract was signed on behalf of Warbud SA by Mr Lech Wąsowski, director of the company’s Public Procurement Division. The Client is the Nicolaus Copernicus Regional Specialist Hospital in Łódź.

Scope of works under the contract:

• demolition works,
• building and fit-out works, including installation of special equipment in operating rooms and X-ray rooms,
• sanitary works - heating system, process heat system, HVAC systems, water and sewage pipes, cooling system.
• installation of electrical and telecommunications systems,
• medical gas system including the delivery of medical equipment: medical units, power supply units for operating and post-surgery rooms, medical panels over patient beds.

Building works will be carried out in the vicinity of functioning hospital units.

It is planned that the rebuilt rooms will house Regional Oncology Centre with a One-Day Surgery Unit and Diagnostics Imaging Unit as well as an Operating Theatre with a Post-Surgery room.

It should be noted that this is another contract implemented by Warbud for the same Investor.

The previous contract covered the creation of a PET unit for the Nicolaus Copernicus Regional Specialist Hospital in Łódź for the purposes of the Regional Oncology Centre, which is executed by Warbud .in a consortium with the firm Siemens Sp. z. o.o.
