A visit to a construction site in the capital of Lower Silesia

According to what residents of Wrocław say - the Oława Gate is a "hanging building". This is caused by the fact that the 5 floors of the office building are "suspended" over the Malt Passage via structural columns placed on foundation barrettes. The office building at Dominikański Square in Wrocław, which is owned by Tower Inwestycje being part of the PZU Group - is almost finished. The construction work started in February 2020 and its completion is scheduled for autumn this year. Andrzej Rapnik, Site Manager at Warbud SA, says that ‘It is a building with 10 floors. Seven of them are situated above the ground, three are located in the basement where there will be, among others, 140 parking spaces. The total office space will reach 14 thousand square metres. We have completed part of the areas in the so-called developer standard. Some of them are already fitted out for the insurance company PZU. The individual offices will be finished in accordance with the needs of their future tenants. We are currently focusing on finishing and landscaping works.’

The building looks great from the outside. ‘Facade works in the facility are coming to an end,’ reports A. Rapnik. ‘The facade colour matches the colour of the neighbouring buildings. We have made it of copper-coloured Alucobond panels. It is complemented by glazing and interesting decorative elements. The facility is being constructed in accordance with the requirements of BREEEAM certification - one of the most frequently used methods of assessing buildings in terms of their environmental performance and sustainable development. The building aims to achieve the ‘Excellent’ rating. Green accents will also be found in the roof part thanks to special solutions used by architects to cover the sanitary infrastructure, mainly ventilation ducts and air handling units.’ The building will offer a magnificent view of the Old Town and the city skyline. We are looking forward to finishing the work.
