On June 6, 2012, a cornerstone laying ceremony was held on the site of the new Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice. The works carried out by Warbud are scheduled for completion at the end of next year.

Warbud S.A. was represented by: Jerzy Widzyk - Management Board Representative and Director of Public-Private Partnership Division and Grzegorz Koprowski - Director of Region South. The host was the Mayor of Katowice, Mr Piotr Uszok.

Inspired by the architecture of the Katowice housing estate Nikiszowiec, the NOSPR seat has a chance to become one of the most modern music facilities in Poland. The adopted design are based on the best practices applied in the world. The project involves the construction of three buildings of three buildings. In the main part there will be two concert halls.

Nevertheless, the most important room of the new building will be the great concert hall. It will be its symbolic and functional heart. Its massive form covered with white stone will dominate over the central part of a spacious atrium. Its scale and technical complexity has been unprecedented in Poland.
