On September 30, 2025, an award ceremony was held in Warsaw in the 35th edition of the competition organised by the Polish Association of Construction Engineers and Technicians. The jury selected Poland’s best construction projects in the year 2024. A golden statuette for the construction of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw was awarded to the project team and received by Mr. Maciej Urbanski, Contract Director and Mr. Daniel Jonczyk, Site Manager.
'We are pleased that the competition jury recognized the uniqueness of the facility built by WARBUD,’ said Maciej Urbański. ‘This construction industry ‘Oscar’ is a recognition of several years of commitment and effort put in by the entire project team and staff supervising this demanding investment. The Museum is an important facility for the City, opening up new exhibition opportunities for not only Polish but also foreign art. It arouses the interest of designers and artists, attracting visitors from all over the world. I think it's a great recognition for the institution, but also for the quality of the building itself. That is why Daniel Jonczyk and I give our many thanks to our colleagues from all disciplines who worked with us on this construction site. Without you, there would be no such success, and today there would be no award that we hold in our hands. Let this laurel be a sign of appreciation, but also an inspiration for our further work.’
The ‘Construction Project of the Year’ competition promotes the achievements of Polish technical thought on the Polish construction market. This year 46 buildings qualified for the final, whose jury also assessed the facilities’ aesthetics and spatial contexts planned by architects, the quality of the building work, the technological solutions, and the impact of the projects on the natural environment. The gala was chaired by prof. Maria Kaszyńska, chairwoman of the Polish Association of Civil Engineers and Technicians (PZITB), who in the beginning of the event expressed her joy and satisfaction stating that thanks to the builders’ work the space around us has been changing. The importance of the profession of engineer and technician was also emphasized Mr. Marcin Stanecki, Chief Labour Inspector: ‘As a lawyer, I envy you, builders, because you will leave behind something that can be touched, admired, and that will last for years!’
The gala was highlighted by a recital by the lively and energetic violinist Magdalena Szymańska and Tomasz Wielechowski, pianist, composer and arranger.
