Museum of the Second World War chosen the best architectural project in Gdansk

Awards of the Mayor of the City of Gdańsk for the best Gdańsk architectural project were handed in on October 16, 2018 at a gala at the headquarters of the Association of Polish Architects SARP in Gdańsk.  The title of best architectural project in Gdańsk was awarded to all the participants of the investment process: the investor, designer and contractor of the Museum of the Second World War - the Warbud-Hochtief consortium. The award was collected by Mr Karol Puszerkiewicz - Contract Director responsible for the project.

Awards are given to facilities with special architectural impact in the public space. The prize is awarded once every two years, and in this year there were facilities completed and put into service during in the two years preceding the competition year. Prize-winners were chosen by a Chapter composed of representatives of the Polish Architects' Association Coast Branch and representatives of the Municipal Office in Gdańsk.

The Museum "is a strong combination of architecture and emotions - a unique feature of this project confirming the exceptional design skills of its authors" - we read in the verdict of the Jury.
