Office building built by Warbud gets highest BREEAM certification result in Poland

AFI V.Offices office building built by Warbud in Krakow at 29 Listopada Avenue received the prestigious BREEAM certificate at the Outstanding level gaining as much as 98.87% of overall credits. This is the highest result in the history of the certification system of the operator BRE Global for a project located in Poland. With this result, the facility also ranks second in the BREEAM certification in the office buildings category in the world.

A BREEAM certificate is synonymous with "green" sustainable construction. It is awarded to facilities whose construction does not lead to excessive exploitation of the neighbouring environment and resources.  Buildings subject to BREEAM evaluation must meet high requirements arranged in 10 categories: Management, Health and Wellbeing, Energy, Transport, Water, Materials, Waste, Ecology, Pollution Prevention and Innovation.

As a general contractor we have a significant share in obtaining this certificate through among others responsible waste management, pollution prevention, conscious selection of building materials. Whether the building will be a "healthy" structure depends not only on the designer but also on the contractor.
