Site staff of Kostrzyn nad Odrą Bridge awarded for safe work

During a special gala held in Palmiarnia Restaurant in Zielona Góra on November 20, 2024, District Labour Inspectorate in Zielona Góra summarized their preventive and promotional projects implemented this year. Winners were chosen for actions taken to improve work safety. Warbud SA received a distinction in the "Build Safely" competition for the construction of the Bridge in Kostrzyn nad Odrą. The competition recognises outstanding health and safety measures undertaken during the execution of a specific construction project. The diploma was received by Ms. Dagmara Grzegorczyk, Site Assistant and Mr. Andrzej Piotrowski, Site Manager.

The opening of the meeting was attended by District Labour Inspector and Deputy Chief Labour Inspector  Mr. Dariusz Mińkowski. Mr. Mińkowski read a letter from Chief Labor Inspector Mr. Marcin Stanecki which was addressed to the meeting participants. "We all realize that taking action to increase safety at work and implementing above-standard solutions in the field of protecting employees’ health and lives is a major challenge. That is why we promote ambitious and responsible entrepreneurs who build the economic success of their companies on the strong foundations of ensuring work safety. For you, caring for the safety of your employees and complying with labour law regulations are not onerous obligations, but a conscious choice. The distinction awarded to the most active community labour inspector reminds us how important and necessary is is to be determined to support the process of eliminating dangers from the work environment, which can often save someone's health or even life," noted Chief Labour Inspector in the letter.

The awards ceremony was graced by a musical performance by students of the Mieczysław Karłowicz Music School Complex in Zielona Góra. The ceremony was attended by a large group of employers, community labour inspectors and invited guests.
