VINCI ranked among the world’s largest construction companies

The VINCI Group ranked 5th in a report prepared by the consulting company Deloitte. This list is an annual analysis of achievements of the world's most profitable construction companies. Sales revenues in 2017 are taken into account.
In the ranking, the first four places were taken by Chinese corporations. We also find French, British, Swedish, Austrian and Dutch companies in it.
The VINCI Group
The history of VINCI dates back to the nineteenth century. The group has changed a lot since then, but from the very beginning there were two types of activity: concessions and contracting. Currently, the VINCI GROUP is one of the largest construction companies in the world operating in over 100 countries. The Group employs 183 000 people and its headquarters is located in Paris.
Its biggest daughter company in Poland is Warbud SA. VINCI is also the owner of the Eurovia road group of which Eurovia Polska SA is a Polish part. The current VINCI strategy envisages the acceleration of international development, in particular in Latin America, Southeast Asia, Australia and Oceania as well as in the fastest-growing markets.
The VINCI portfolio includes such projects as the Paris Georges Pompidou Centre, the renovation of the Louvre, the Rio-Andirio bridge in Greece, the Basilica of Our Lady Queen of Peace in Yamoussoukro - the largest church in the world, the construction of the Chernobyl reactor sarcophagus. The group boasts the construction of the metro in Paris, Rennes and Cairo, the modernization of the London Underground, a 900-kilometre section of high-voltage lines connecting Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates, or the longest tunnel in the world - de la Croix - Rousse tunnel in Lyon (1753 m) for pedestrians, cyclists and buses. The VINCI portfolio includes high-speed railway lines in France - the Paris - Bordeaux line and Tours - Bordeaux line or the high-speed line in Morocco connecting Casablanca, Rabat and Tangier.
VINCI Stadium manages the stadiums built by the Group: Stade de France in Paris' Saint Denis, Matmut Atlantique in Bordeaux, Allianz Riviera in Nice and MMArena in Le Mans. In the UK, the company manages the The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.
VINCI Airport is the operator managing 35 airports in 7 countries. In 2017, these facilities served a total of nearly 157 million passengers.
