Before the match the construction company team took part in a training session in the Znicz club stadium in Pruszków near Warsaw. Their coach was Mr Andrzej Strejlau, who because of his injury played the role of an advisor. Training sessions were conducted by Mr Krzysztof Adamczyk.
Although the match was not a success for the Polish team (Ukraine won 1:0) the spirit of sports rivalry was very lively in both teams from the first seconds of the match.
