Warbud has won a contract for the construction of a boulevard in Łomża
On February 11, 2011 Warbud signed a contract for the construction of a boulevard in Łomża. The Employer is the City of Łomża. The work will be carried out in the period from August 2011 to November 2012. The project is included in the programme "Sports and recreation areas on the river Narew - Phase 1" under the Regional Operational Programme of the Podlaskie Region, Priority Axis 3. Development of Tourism and Culture. Ultimately the boulevard will extend between Łomża’s two bridges, but due to the limited financial resources the works will be divided into two phases. The main element of Phase 1 will be the river harbour extending from Żydowska St. towards Via Baltica.

The contract covers the following works:

  • construction of a river harbour and a marina for small boats, and the construction of a river bank boulevard with pedestrian and bicycle path.
  • construction of an access road to the boulevard and the harbour
  • installation of lights in the boulevard and harbour areas and a CCTV monitoring system
  • construction of a hangar
  • construction of stormwater and sanitary sewers and a water pipeline.

The construction of the boulevard in Łomża will be financed in approximately 70% from the EU funds under the Regional Operational Programme of the Podlaskie Region.
