Warbud qualifies to finals of Build Safely competition

The construction project Łukasiewicz Science Centre has already won a laurel in the "Build Safely" competition. In November 2022, the competition jury appreciated Warbud SA by awarding to the company the first place at the regional level of the competition to Subcarpathia Łukasiewicz Science Centre project. In January 2023, the project qualified to the finals, winning the third place at the national level. The objective of the competition is to promote building contractors who provide safe workplaces during the construction process and in particular, take above-standard measures to promote health and safety. The competition is organized regularly by the National Labour Inspectorate. Its partner is the Agreement on Safety in Construction. The competition takes place in two stages: at the regional level and then at the national level.

‘From one year to another I observe that the awareness of construction workers in the field of occupational health and safety has been growing. The effects of our joint work are slowly being seen. Warbud raises its culture and knowledge not only among its own employees, but also among subcontractors, showing the risk of disrespecting our safety standards. We try to simplify everyday work and the related health and safety procedures. One of such attempts is the implementation of "prestart meetings" thanks to which, in a quick and clear way, an employee can correctly diagnose the situation and take care of the security that he will need when performing a given job,’ said Maciej Kurowski, Site Manager.

More about the winning facility:
