Warbud's construction work in the Europejski Hotel in Warsaw

Warbud is carrying out construction work in the Europejski Hotel building in Warsaw. The investor is HESA Sp. z o.o. Sp.k. The rebuilding of the facility was designed by architects from the design studio SUD Architekci Polska Sp. z o.o. in Warsaw.

The works, which are scheduled for 22 months, cover as follows:

  • foundation strengthening using the soilcrete method
  • construction of diaphragm walls in the patio and execution of earthworks
  • demolition of part of the structure
  • strengthening the structure
  • construction of temporary supporting structures for the perimeter walls in the east wing
  • construction of reinforced concrete structures from level -4 to +4 and additional steelwork floors (+5 and +6)

The Europejski Hotel it a neo-renaissance building situated at No. 13 Krakowskie Przedmieście St. in Warsaw. It was built in the years 1855-1878 and designed by Henryk and Leander Marconi. It was then considered to be the most luxurious building in Warsaw. Now it is closed down due to the construction work being carried out. After the overhaul the Europejski Hotel will be one of the most luxurious hotels in Poland and have a five star plus standard. There will be approximately one hundred rooms and apartments and luxury boutiques.
