Warbud signs the Diversity Charter

Diversity Charter is an international initiative under the patronage of the European Commission. The purpose of the Charter is to promote equality and diversity management in the workplace. Its assumptions are implemented by 26 European Union member states. Poland joined the Charter in 2012. The program is coordinated by Responsible Business Forum. Among signatories of the Diversity Charter there are almost 300 organizations including now Warbud SA.

The Charter is a written commitment of the company to introduce a ban on discrimination in the workplace. This is not only about the decision to act to create and promote diversity, cohesion and social equality, but more importantly, it demonstrates the company's readiness to involve all its employees and business and social partners in those activities.

Małgorzata Kowalczyk, Deputy Human Resources Director at VINCI Construction Usługi Wsparcia Sp. z o. o. stated that ‘The construction industry is stereotypically perceived as difficult, masculinized and uncompromising. Meanwhile, Warbud SA is consistently taking steps towards a full acceptance of employee diversity and creating space on construction sites and in offices not only for the development of industry competences, but also personal potential. There is no turning back from the direction of deepening mutual respect regardless of gender, nationality, views, etc. By joining the group of signatories of the Diversity Charter, we accept that commitment.

The initiative to create a Polish version of the Diversity Charter was born in May 2011 during a meeting of representatives of companies with French capital with organisations representing the interests of various social groups vulnerable to discrimination.
