Warbud will build an additional slab of the two-level car park at Atrium Targówek Shopping Centre in Warsaw

On July 4, 2016, Warbud signed a contract for rebuilding and expansion of Atrium Targówek Shopping Centre in Warsaw. The contract encompasses the construction of an additional floor slab for the existing multi-level parking. The client is the company Atrium Poland 1 Sp. z o.o. Targówek 2 Spółka Komandytowa.

The project encompasses the construction of an additional floor slab with surface area of approx. 12 000 m² over the top floor of the multi-level parking situated between the existing shopping centre Atrium Targówek and the part of the building containing cinemas.

All work will be executed in an operating shopping centre. New vestibules will be built at exits from the mall and the cinemas as well as a new floor slab. The existing internal escalators in the patio of the mall will be replaced with moving walkways. In addition to that stairs will be removed from the patio and locations of two passenger lifts will be changed. The replacement of stairs with moving walkways will allow mall customers to use the multi-level parking.

At present the area is only served by lifts and it is not easily available for people with shopping trolleys. The scheduled construction work will result in changes in the structural solutions connected mainly with the strengthening of part of the supporting elements as well as with modifications and additions to the internal building systems.

Total area: 20 000 m²
