On 29 May 2014 Warbud signed a contract for construction of buildings C, D , E, F and G including substructure and soft landscaping for phases 2 and 3 of the "Browar Lubicz" project in Cracow. The investor is the company Balmoral Properties 1 ED POLSKA Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością, spółka komandytowo-akcyjna.
The development plot is situated in the centre of Cracow, approx. 800 m from the Market Square and the Old Town.
The history of the Lubicz Brewery goes back to the year 1840 in which the plot at 15-17 Lubicz St. were owned by the Jenny family. At that time first brewery buildings were erected according to the design by von Pierette ordered by Rudolf Jenny. "John's Brewery" (as it was originally called) was at that time the biggest in the city. After Rudolph's death it was inherited by his son-in-law and then his sons. It remained the property of the Jenny family until the year 1903, one year later it was bought by count Jan Goetz-Okocimski. The new owner changed the name of the brewery to Browar Krakowski i Fabryka Przetworów Słodowych J. Goetza (J. Goetz Cracow Brewery and Malt Products Factory).
In the place of the now derelict buildings of the former Goetz brewery a housing and retail complex will be built whose style and character will be connected with the time of splendour of that unique area.
Warbud will implement phases 2 and 3 of the development project, i.e. build an office building and 4 residential building with their substructures, exterior utility networks, connections, landscaping works. Warbud will also be responsible for the elaboration of a detailed construction design.
