Warbud will build Woman and Child Health Centre hospital pavilion in Zabrze

Warbud has won a contract for the construction of Woman and Child Health Centre hospital pavilion in Zabrze. The Client is the City Borough of Zabrze represented by Real Property Management Financial Services Unit.

The contract signing ceremony was held on 9 May 2013 in the City Hall at ul. Religi 1 in Zabrze. Warbud was represented by Board Members Mr Wojciech Gerber and Mr Mirosław Józefczuk, the Investor - by Mayor of Zabrze, Ms Małgorzata Mańka-Szulik and the Chairman of Zabrze City Hospital Dr Mariusz Wójtowicz.

The pavilion will be a detached building connected with the existing building by a connector passage which will become an extension of the main circulation route connecting the particular hospital wings with patient wards and diagnostic and surgery units. The new pavilion will be a three-floor structure.

The Centre, housing gynaecology, obstetrics, neonatology units and a new pregnancy pathology unit will be built in the area of Zabrze City Hospital in Zabrze-Biskupice. In the new units there will be 78 patient beds and an operating theatre. Woman patients will have at their disposal diabetes, lactation, neonatology and prenatal diagnosis units. The Centre will also house a hospital childbirth school.
