Warbud will extend the Infant Jesus Hospital in Warsaw
Warbud SA has signed a contract for the rebuilding and extension of the Department of Internal Medicine and Cardiology of the Hospital of the Infant Jesus and the Injury Treatment Centre situated at no. 4 Lindleya St. in Warsaw.

The contract with the Client – the Infant Jesus Clinical Hospital was signed on December 17, 2010. The existing building of the historic hospital was built in the year 1890. It was renovated after the war in the late fifties and modernized in theseventies of the previous century. The structure has the form of a two-storey pavilion with a basement and a hipped roof, covered with tin.

After the adaptation and reorganization works in the building it is planned to locate there the Injury Treatment Centre and the Centre for Diagnosis and Treatment of Venous Thromboembolism in addition to the Department of Internal Medicine and Cardiology Centre.

It must be noted that the basement of the building will be deepened and the foundations will be underpinned using jetinjection (jet-grouting). This method consists in the construction under the foundations of the building, of a solidified ground and cement lump which will transfers the loads to the lower layers of the ground.

Ultimately, the hospital will provide for 38 beds in single, double and triple rooms.

Contract duration: December 2010 - July 2012
