Warbud will rebuild a house in Wroclaw's Old Town for Pan Tadeusz Museum

On 5 November 2014 Warbud signed a contract for rebuilding works in a house with outbuildings situated at 6 Rynek Square and 5 Kiełbaśnicza St. in Wroclaw for the purpose of a permanent exhibition of 'Pan Tadeusz' Museum in Wroclaw.

The Employer, i.e. Ossoliński National Institute was represented by its Director, Mr Adolf Juzwenko. On Warbud's part the contract was signed by Ms Jolanta Grocholska, Management Board Member and Mr Grzegorz Koprowski, Director of Warbud's Region South.

Warbud will carry out the following works: rebuilding the structure including interior installations, adaptation of the museum building to meet security requirements connected with presenting top class museum exhibits - separation of EI60 and WK2 zones. The Contract also covers equipping the building with permanent exhibition structures and the following systems: multimedia and visual information systems, system for presentation and storage of digitized collections and artwork items. The building will be adapted to the needs of the disabled, including the blind and people with visual impairments.

'Pan Tadeusz' Museum will be set up in the Old Town house named "Under the Golden Sun". It will consist of two parts - the first devoted to Adam Mickiewicz's poem "Pan Tadeusz" and the romantic period in literature. The second part will contain exhibition of History Witness Rooms in which visitors will see the struggle of the generation which grew up between the two world wars. On the day of museum inauguration a permanent exhibition will be opened presenting Pan Tadeusz manuscript which has been in the possession of Ossolineum since the year 1999.
