Yesterday, on April 10, at the seat of the Capital City Development Authority, we signed a contract for the construction of a tunnel under Railway Line No. 2 Warsaw - Terespol in Wesoła. The contract was signed on behalf of the Investor by Daniel Boruchalski - Deputy Regional Director of PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe SA and Ewelina Degowska - Director of the Capital City Development Authority, and on behalf of our company by Nicolas Dépret - President of WARBUD SA Management Board and Kamil Simka, Managing Director and Vice-President of the Management Board of EUROVIA Polska. WARBUD SA will execute the project with the participation of EUROVIA Polska.
The new investment to be executed by our companies us will reduce traffic congestion in the Wesoła district by shortening the travel time across the railway tracks and increase safety of road and rail traffic. It will also allow the railway line to be modernised and to increase train speeds.
About the Project
The companies Certus Via Sp. z o.o. and TPF Sp. z o.o. are responsible for developing the project documentation. The works are scheduled for completion in 28 months. The project will be ready in the second half of the year 2027. We will start construction work within two months of signing the contract. First of all, a temporary railway crossing will be built at Żółkiewskiego St., a pedestrian crossing over the railway line on the eastern side of the Warszawa Wesoła railway stop and a temporary platform on the track towards Rembertów.
