Warbud SA, in a consortium with the company "STOR" Sp. z o.o., will build Brynów transfer hub. The contracting entity is the City of Katowice and the company Tramwaje Śląskie SA, the designer - MERiTUM PROJEKT.

On the last Saturday of the carnival, on February 10, 2018, Warbud celebrated its 25th anniversary of operation on the construction market. The company was founded at the end of 1992 by Mr. Włodzimierz Włodarczyk, who for over two decades held the highest position in the company. Currently, the position of Chairman of the Management Board is held by Mr. Jerzy Werle, the long-term Director General.

Mr. Xavier Huillard, who manages the VINCI Group, was ranked 36th in the list of "The Best-Performing CEOs in the World in 2017". The ranking drawn up by Harvard Business Review proves the importance of strength of impetus in business - the average length of the term of office of 100 leaders who achieved the best financial results last year is 17 years. The average age of a CEO at the time of taking up a position is 44 years.

The jury of the competition "Infrastructure and Construction Diamonds" awarded Mr. Jerzy Werle, Warbud's Chairman of the Management Board and Director General with the title Industry Personality of the Year 2017.The title is awarded to persons who contribute to the development of the infrastructure and construction sector in Poland and who is also recognizable outside the industry and protects its interests.

Warbud SA's construction project River Point has won the first prize in the "General Construction" category of the State Labour Inspectorate (PIP) "Build Safely" 2017 competition. The verification commission emphasized the fact that in the jubilee 15th edition of the competition the award was given to our residential project as in that type of projects, which often have limited budgets, the issues of occupational health and safety are marginalized.

We have the pleasure to present to you the latest edition of Builder Exclusive which is entirely devoted to the new seat of National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra NOSPR. The new orchestra seat in Katowice is one of the most exceptional construction projects executed by our firm in its history. The National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra waited for its building which could meet their expectations for nearly 80 years. It was really worth waiting for as classical music in Poland has finally gained a world-class venue.

Warbud will build for GDDKIA (General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways) a section of S17 Expressway. On 22 November 2017 our company signed a contract for designing and construction of the S17 road at the section from Zakręt junction (including the junction) to Lubelska junction (without the junction) being part of the East Ring Road of Warsaw. Warbud was represented in the ceremony by its Chairman and Director General Mr Jerzy Werle. The Client was represented by among others by Minister of Infrastructure and Construction Mr Marek Chodkiewicz.

Poland's largest construction companies have started to cooperate in order to develop the BIM technology in the Polish market.

On 6 November 2017 in Warsaw representatives of WARBUD SA, HOCHTIEF Polska, MOSTOSTAL Warszawa, MOTA-ENGIL Central Europe, ELECTRA M&E Polska and ENGIE Technika Instalacyjna signed founding documents of BuildingSMART Polska Foundation. The goal of the Foundation is to lay the basis for the functioning of an organisation for companies operating in the construction market integrating actions connected with the BIM method on the national and international level, as well as to promote the OpenBIM idea.

Warbud has won a contract to expand a production plant for the company Euroglas Polska Sp. z o.o. to house a new production line with associated facilities. The Investor is Euroglas Polska Sp. z o.o. - a glass manufacturer utilising state-of-the-art technologies to produce float glass and coated glass. The company is part of the Swiss group Glas Trösch and is one of the world's industry leaders.

On Tuesday October 24, 2017 in Multikino Złote Tarasy in Warsaw educational workshops for young engineers were organised for the second time by the "Builder" monthly and its Strategic Partners. Warbud was one of them. Young Civil Engineer's Day is part of the program "Builder for the Future" aimed at supporting professional development of students of architecture and civil engineering faculties as well as architects and engineers of various disciplines younger than 34 years of age.
