MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART IN KRAKOW

The Museum was built in the area of the former historic Oscar Schindler's factory "EMALIA" in Krakow's post-industrial district of Zabłocie. The institution was created on the basis of the conception and design of the famous Italian architect Claudio Nardi whose interests concentrate in the neo-modernist architectural current.

The design provided for the construction of one new building and adaptation of six existing structures. The total usable
area of the building is 10 000 m2. The Museum, which is also known as MOCAK, collects, archives and exhibits an international art collection presenting the development of fine arts in the last 20 years.
