‘Safety Week 2019’ on Warbud construction sites

On May 13-19, 2019, the sixth edition of Safety Week will be organised on several hundred construction sites across Poland. The patron of the campaign is the Chief Labour Inspector. The slogan of this year's edition is "Never go shortcuts". On all the construction sites of the signatories of the Agreement on Construction Safety a special poster was displayed advertising the event.

The campaign is organized by the Agreement on Construction Safety - an informal association of leading Polish general contractors. The Association has been operating for 9 years now. The Agreement was established in order to eliminate accidents on construction sites by promoting safe behaviour, improving safety standards and working conditions and developing health and safety culture.

As part of the Safety Week, Warbud has planned a number of activities to raise the awareness and culture of health and safety among its own staff but also among employees of subcontracting companies. First aid trainings, workshops and presentations of occupational safety practices at construction sites, security demonstrations, lectures of PIP inspectors, meetings with experts and a number of other interesting activities will take place. For the first time in the history of the Agreement on Construction Safety a professional Championship in First Aid will be organised. Twelve three-person teams consisting of representatives of the PBB Signatories will compete for the champion title. Teams will compete not only for the title of the best team, but most of all they will improve their skills in the field of first aid. The initiator and organizer of the event is Warbud.

Safety Week is a kind of safety festival but also a time of doubled efforts in pursuing the goal of "zero accidents".
