VINCI Safety Week: It's OK not to be OK

Today, i.e. on May 19, 2025, Safety Days – VINCI Safety Day(s) have started on all our construction sites and in all production plants. This is the most important event in our safety campaign calendar, and it will last until May 23. This is a time when we not only talk about safety but create it together, strengthening the culture of caring for safety every day. We have discussions, learn from each other and share good practices.

This year as many as 117,000 VINCI employees worldwide, in over 100 countries, were invited to an open conversation about safety. We pay special attention to concentration at work, everyday well-being and mutual support, in line with the message of this year's campaign: It's OK not to be OK. President of VINCI Construction, Patrick Sulliot emphasizes that taking the time to say whether everything is OK or not protects us as much as the helmet we wear, and when it comes to safety, nothing can be taken for granted.

The message is therefore clear. At work - just as in private life - there are bad days and things don't always go our way. That is why it is important to talk openly about problems, react and look for solutions together. Safety and health are the absolute foundation of our work. It is not only a matter of following rules and procedures, but above all, caring for each other, building trust and a shared sense of responsibility. Interpersonal relationships, sincere interest and conversation allow you to look at yourselves, your reactions and emotions from a completely different perspective. They also allow us to take action to break out of the temporary impasse we find ourselves in.

Safety at work remains one of the VINCI Group's priorities. During Safety Days 2025, our unit and branch directors will meet their teams in offices and on construction sites to discuss how to better protect what is most valuable for us - health and lives. Participants will learn how to effectively prevent accidents, discuss the role of daily briefings and pre-starts, and take part in workshops, demonstrations, training and other activities prepared by managers.
