Warbud News

Warbud will build the second part of the external stoking system for the power plant in Jaworzno which is being built for the new 910 MW coal-fired power unit. The contract was signed on 13 June 2016.

Warbud's contract covers the design work, installation, commissioning, trial run of the unit with putting the facility into operation. The scheduled date of project completion is March 2019.

By that time the Power Plant will be expanded by structures with a total cubic volume of 33.5 thousand cubic meters. The structures of the railway car tipplers, tensioning station, repair chamber, conveyor tunnel with ramps, coal storage yards as well as a railway track system will be built in phases until the Employer takes over the new power unit.

The development project will be implemented with a cooperation with two consortium partners, whereas more than half of the project value will be included in Warbud SA's (Consortium Leader's) scope of work.

Transsystem Spółka Akcyjna spółka komandytowa will be responsible for the supply, installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment (stacker-reclaimers, wheel loaders, conveyors). FINANCING & MANUFACTURING & KNOW-HOW Sp. z o.o. will be responsible for the technological design and the supply of car tipplers.
