Warbud has signed a contract for the construction of water tramway harbours and stops. The Employer is the City of Gdansk Development Directorate. The objective of the project is to develop the wharf with harbours for boats and the water tramway in four locations in the area of Gdansk. The project provides for the development of new tourist facilities in the form of sailing and kayak harbours and mooring facilities for water tramways. The project will create new technical opportunities allowing to enhance tourist and economic activity on the internal watercourses in Gdansk.
Warbud will build the following facilities under the contract signed on February 25:
1. A harbour at Żabi Kruk St. for boats, including:
- the construction of a water tramway stop
- construction and modernization of the wharf
- construction of floating jetties
- construction of a slip – a ramp for boat launching
- construction of a building with the following facilities: a port authority, hangar, workshop, warehouse
- landscaping works.
2. Construction of a sailing harbour at Sienna Grobla II St. including:
- the construction of a water tramway stop
- modernization of the wharf with mooring facilities for boats
- construction of floating jetties
- construction of a port authority building at the existing wharf no. 18
- construction of a slip – a ramp for boat launching
- landscaping works.
3. Construction of a sailing harbour at Tamka St., including:
- the construction of a water tramway stop
- construction of a wharf for mooring boats
- construction of floating jetties
- construction of a port authority building with a hangar
- construction of a slip – a ramp for boat launching
- landscaping works.
4. Construciton of a water tramway stop Stogi located in Gdansk Górki Zachodnie, including:
- the construction of a wharf for mooring boats
- construction of a slip
- landscaping works.
Duration of contract: 13 months following contract conclusion.
