Only nine winners from all over Poland were chosen in the competition entitled "Outstanding Management Systems Representative." One of them was Mr. Witold Lipka-Auguścik, Representative of the President of the Management Board for IMS at Warbud SA. In addition, Mr. Lipka-Auguścik was honoured with an occasional medal 'For merits for quality' issued on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of regaining independence. The award was granted to people who have been promoting the idea of quality in business management for years.

'The awards which I have just received are a special distinction for me,' said Witold Lipka - Auguścik. 'I treat them as an expression of recognition from the Chapter of the Polish Quality Award. This success would not have been possible without the support of President Jerzy Werle and my wonderful colleagues from the department - I mean here Ms. Monika Cegłowska, Agnieszka Kępka and Alicja Ambroży. I thank them very much for their daily commitment and work aimed at a continuous improvement of the management systems in our company.'

The awards were presented during the final gala which took place on November 26 at the seat of Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw. At the same time the 2nd National Conference of the Polish Quality Award was held on that day entitled "Polish quality on the 100th anniversary of regaining independence".

Polish Quality Award is a prestigious distinction established 25 years ago. The goal of the program "Outstanding Management Systems Representative" is to implement principles which help in improving and promoting the leaders of these systems in Poland who implement and disseminate modern management methods in their organizations.
