About Warbud

How we built Warbud

The foundations

Warbud was founded in 1989 by its long-time chairman – Mr. Włodzimierz Włodarczyk.

It was then a small private enterprise. Three years later, in 1992, it was transformed into a joint-stock company with a majority share held by the French construction tycoon CBC, now the VINCI Group. This merger of private initiative and corporate standards has laid the foundations for the creation of a huge, thriving construction company currently employing over 1,300 people.

The supporting structure

We would not have succeeded were it not for our most important and stable point of support - great people. Since the very beginning of the company's existence one of our most important guiding values has been respect for others - employees, partners, subcontractors and clients. This did not change even when Warbud expanded its operations and became a nationwide contractor. In 2004 we expanded our structures - we set up Regions and Divisions responsible for individual market segments. However, our approach to business has not changed.  To this day, behind each executive and organizational unit there are extremely competent people and projects serving local communities.

Putting people in the centre has also been reflected in our activities for sustainable development. In 2008, we established the charitable foundation named "Warbud – Warto Pomagać”. In 2010 we were one of the initiators of the Agreement on Safety in Construction which changes the image of the construction sector by increasing the level of safety and standards, both for general contractors as well as subcontractors and suppliers.

The roof

Today, after more than 30 years the Company’s uninterrupted presence on the market, Warbud has a strong and well-established position. We are one of the largest construction companies in Poland. We operate throughout the entire country - we have offices in Warsaw (head office), Kraków, Rzeszów, Lublin, Wrocław, Katowice, Gdańsk and Poznań. We implement complex and prestigious projects in almost all segments of the industry. We have separate executive units responsible for specific sectors - the Specialist Construction Region, Civil Engineering Region and the Medical Construction Division. Our structures also include a Design Office. We have our own concrete batching plant and precast concrete elements plant.
