CIVIL ENGINEERING: FOR COMFORT AND SAFETY

Transport infrastructure sector is particularly important to us. We build not only roads but also bridges, viaducts, airports, border crossings, parking lots and metro stations. They are often projects with a high degree of complexity and the growing number of such contracts only confirms our position in that industry.

„Most wanted”

We are pioneers in the construction of cable-stayed bridges. We are especially proud of:

• pylons of the Świętokrzyski and Siekierkowski bridges in Poland’s capital
• and the Sucharskiego Bridge in Gdańsk.

When we started building the first of them, no one in Poland had had experience in that field.

We are also the main contractor for the 7.5-kilometre-long section "C" of South Ring Road of Warsaw. We have built this road section as a "design and build" project.

The road has two carriageways with three lanes in each direction. The task covered among others the construction of four dual-carriageway structures in the Mazovian Landscape Park, Patriotów Junction - a strategic facility on the route with two road viaducts and four railway viaducts. Four road viaducts were built above S2 expressway, approximately 32 km of transverse, local and access roads, as well as a network of footpaths and cycling paths.

The passage through the landscape park required from our engineers to use technical solutions which have minimized the harmful impact of the expressway on the surroundings. Over 365-metre-long flyovers in the Mazovian Landscape Park were built with the use of the increasingly popular incremental launching method utilizing prestressing cables. 

The Patriotów Junction was built as a so-called a sealed tub. The tub is over 340 m long and is situated in a lowered ground. The junction was additionally surrounded by noise barriers. We have built four railway viaducts over the tub to serve the Warszawa - Dorohusk railway line and two road viaducts for the road along Patriotów Street (eastern and western roadways).

• Kwiatkowskiego Road in Gdynia
• Expressway S8, section from Salomea to Wolica
• The Czerniakowska junction and the Marsa junction in Warsaw
• airports in Lodz, Kraków and Gdańsk.

Safer, faster, more convenient

Civil engineering projects bring benefits not only to users such as an extensive network of connections and easier access to many places. They also increase safety - thanks to better quality pavements and roads or illuminated pedestrian crossings. They also increase attractiveness of areas planned for development.
